Reacting to the reports that Ahmadiyya Jama’at Srinagar has sought permission from district magistrate to hold a “Peace Symposium at SKICC”, on October 10, Islamic scholar and separatist leader Moulana Masroor Abbas Ansari today said “Govt must be patronizing the proposed event.”
Masroos who is the patron of the J&K Itehadul Muslimeen, said: “At a time when Muslims are not allowed to perform religious functions be it Milad SAW procession or Muharram Procession while separatist leadership is often barred from offering Friday prayers, how come the non-Muslims being allowed to host conference at SKICC?” Ansari asked.
Asking the government not to “play with the religious sentiments” of the people of Kashmir, he said “This all must be brains child of RSS and allies of the Saffron brigade.”
