Before the inception of Arya Samaaj, Islam was a lifeless body which had lost all sensation of the need to proselytize among the various sects of the Muslims, no organization devoted to preaching could be created. But, of course, there was one man with a heart who rose up in anguish at the neglectful behavior of the Muslim. He created a small group of adherents around him and leaped forward for the propagation and dissemination of Islam. He created such a consuming passion for proselytizing outreach in his community which should serve as an example for not only all the Muslim sects but also for all the preaching communities of the world.

Yasir Latif Hamdani

I hate to keep repeating myself, but repeat myself I must so long as necessary. Majlis-e-Ahrar-e-Islam was a party founded in late 1920s. Its leading lights were people like Ataullah Shah Bukhari, Mazhar Ali Azhar and Daud Ghaznavi. Later these gentlemen were tasked by the Congress’ increasingly Machiavellian leadership under Gandhi and Nehru to divide the Muslim minority of the subcontinent along sectarian lines. Gandhi and Nehru felt that a united Muslim voice would pose political problems that would challenge their single party hegemony over the independence movement. Consequently Majlis-e-Ahrar started two major movements, at Congress’ behest. The first was the Madhe-Sahaba Movement against Shias in Lucknow with the express purpose of weakening the Muslim League. Then they initiated the anti-Ahmadi movement in Punjab by raising the issue of that sect’s right to identify as Muslim. Jinnah was wise to these machinations and swiftly ruled out any such sectarian division proclaiming that anyone who professes to be Muslim is welcome in the Muslim League be he Ahmadi or Shia or Mahdavi or what have you.

Ahrar rally Chanab Nagar Rabwah

Jinnah’s public pronouncement buried the issue for a time but it came back full force after his death in form of the Anti-Ahmaddiya movement started by Majlis-e-Ahrar in 1949. This led to the 1953 Martial Law in Lahore and the disturbances which led to the downfall of Pakistan’s constitutional order. In 1974 Zulfikar Ali Bhutto sought to resolve the issue by declaring Ahmadis Non-Muslim or so he thought. 43 years later we are still reeling from the horrendous misstep by the PPP government and it has taken a life of its own. It no longer concerns Ahmadis alone though they are the most notable victims, carrying body bags every few weeks.

On 7 September 1974 Pakistan for all practical purposes ceased to exist and the state became Ahraristan. Ahrarism is the de facto ideology of this state now. Its founding father is not the anglicised Shiite lawyer Mr Jinnah who would countenance no discrimination in the name of religion. It is not even Mr Bhutto who naively imagined he was doing the country a favour by resolving the Ahmadi issue. Nor is it General Zia who was perhaps Ahrar’s most effective tool in the country. The true founder of this country in the shape that it exists now is none other than Ataullah Shah Bokhari, the firebrand Congress cleric who had denounced Pakistan as Kafiristan and proudly proclaimed that he would not allow the Muslim League to even make the P in Pakistan.

He couldn’t stop the League in 1947 but his successors claimed the country as their own. They are the ultimate victors. Even liberals have to follow suit. Consequently you find professors from Stockholm and free-lance journalists from New Jersey hiding behind anti-Ahmaddiya propaganda to justify their often unsubstantiated attacks on Pakistan itself. In Pakistan you can abuse Pakistan, Jinnah and everything under the sun, so long as you also abuse Ahmadis. This is why a fraud like Agha Shorish Kashmiri is a respected literary figure in Pakistan.

People often speak about Saudi influence. Saudis have definitely been influential since the 1970s in Pakistan using their oil money to fund rabid clerics. However it is the cancer of Ahrarism that has seeped in so deep that has enabled Pakistan’s steady decline into the abyss. This comes with consequences. Consider the new piece of legislation introduced in the Senate, which calls for making fines and punishments for violation of Ehteram-e-Ramadan Ordinance (ERO) 1981. To begin with ERO is a gross violation not just of fundamental right of religious freedom but vitiates the very spirit of Islam, which is encapsulated in the clear injunction of the Holy Quran that “there is no compulsion in religion”. Yet it is quite a popular thing to trample on religious liberty of the citizens of Pakistan provided it is done in the name of Islam. Unfortunately there is no judge in all of Pakistan who has it in himself to strike down a blatantly unconstitutional and un-Islamic law like the ERO. Consequently Non-Muslims in Pakistan must silently suffer for the crime of being born in a Muslim majority country. They must reconcile themselves with the fact that politicians and the military alike will continue to use religion for their own ends and they will continue to live as, at best, second class citizens of this benighted country.

Syed Ata ul Muhaimin bukhari, president of Majlis-e-Ahrar-e-Islam Pakistan

Another manifestation of Ahrarism is the palpable anti-Shia feeling amongst the Sunni majority in the country. If Iran threatens Pakistan over border disputes or sectarian groups operating with impunity in Balochistan, Shias are expected to denounce Iran and prove their loyalty to Pakistan. The decision to allow an Ex-Army Chief to head up the predominantly Sunni alliance was also part of this sordid saga. Who do they think they were fooling when they claimed that it was a Pan-Islamic alliance and that Iran would be cajoled into joining it? Let us call a spade a spade. It is a Sunni alliance aimed at Shias and Pakistan, home to second largest Shia population in the world, has foolishly decided to join it. What a shame for a country whose founding father was a Shia.

Well such is the nature of international sectarian Muslim politics today. My advice to Pakistanis is that if you choose to continue to tread this perilous path, at the very least you can petition the government to change the name of the country to Ahraristan. That would be truly reflective of the reality of Pakistan today.

http://www.koranselskab.dk/profiler/iqbal/ahmadiyya.htm

Lahore, June 21, 1936
My dear Pandit Jawaharlal,

Thank you so much for your letter which I received yesterday. At the time I wrote in reply to your articles I believed that you had no idea of the political attitude of the Ahmadis.1 Indeed the main reason why I wrote a reply was to show, especially to you, how Muslim loyalty had originated and how eventually it had found a revelational basis in Ahmadism.

After the publication of my paper I discovered, to my great surprise, that even the educated Muslims had no idea of the historical causes which had shaped the teachings of Ahmadism.

Moreover your Muslim admirers in the Punjab and elsewhere felt perturbed over your articles as they thought you were in sympathy with Ahmadiyya movement. This was mainly due to the fact that the Ahmadis were jubilant over your articles. The Ahmadis Press was mainly responsible for this misunderstanding about you. However I am glad to know that my impression was erroneous.

I myself have little interest in theology, but had to dabble in it a bit in order to meet the Ahmadis on their own ground. I assure you that my Paper was written with the best of intentions for Islam and India. I have no doubt in my mind that the Ahmadis are traitors both to Islam and to India.

I was extremely sorry to miss the opportunity of meeting you in Lahore. I was very ill in those days and could not leave my rooms. For the last two years I have been living a life of practically of retirement on account of continued illness. Do let me know when you come to the Punjab next.

Did you receive my letter regarding your proposed Union for Civil Liberties? As you do not acknowledge it in your letter I fear it never reached you.

Yours sincerely,

Mohammad Iqbal

Before I dive into my thoughts on this book, I would like to present here brief info regarding who Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani was.

Brief Intro:

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani

Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani was born in India on February 13th, 1835 (Iain Adamson) or in 1839 or 1840 (Qadianism by Hasan Ali Nadwi). He was a public debator, preacher, and spend most of his youth in debating Christian missionaries and Hindu group Arya Samaj. He defended Islam, became famous in those bad times when Muslims had lost the War of Independence of 1857. Many Islamic Scholars and leaders who participated in the freedom struggle were hanged by the imperial British governemnt and series of political, social and cultural crackdown was undertaken in order to minimze the possible uprising of Indian, especially by Indian Muslims.

In this era of desparity, Mirza called himself a reformer (Mujaddid) and then called himself a Promised Messiah. He started preaching that Hazrat Isa ibn Maryam, Jesus Christ (Peace and Blessing be upon him) had died and that God has sent him as a Promised Messiah to unite all the religions and bring peace to this world. This angered Christians and Muslims both, because both hold the belief in the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

When he had enough supporters and financial stability, he declared that instead of inspirations from God, he started receiving revelations from God and that in those revelations God revealed to him that he was a Prophet in Islam. Mirza declared that although Prophet Muhammed (Peace and Blessings be upon him) was the last Messenger of Allah (God) with the final Sharia (code/way of life), he is the chosen one- a prophet, a Promised Messiah- and he claimed to affirming to the Sharia of Muhammad without abrogating any thing from the teachings of Muhammad!

He, however, abrogated the obligation of Jihad on Muslims, declared himself a Prophet even though it is clear and has been for all these centuries that Prophet Muhammad Arabi ibn Muttalib was the Last Prophet and The Messenger of Allah. He also abrogated that Jesus was saved from the death and that Jesus would return in the time of wars and chaos, in order to put an end to the Anti-Christ, and bringing peace to the world (well Mirza thought the he was playing this role somehow!). He also preached and believed that Indians and espacially Indian Muslims should not oppose British government. He had close contacts with British imperial government like his father, and in return British government was kind and graceful towards his family.

Besides this, by the end of his life he has declared all the Muslims as Kafirs (disbelievers), which they of course were in his message; and Mirza had established Qadian as his center with the same role as Makkah has to Islam.

The Book by Iain Adamson:

This book by Iain Adamson, was written as to be a biography of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani. However, it lacked all the academic rules of a biographical writing. During my entire reading, I was not able to locate a single cited source of all the direct quotes and paraphrases and dates he was using and refering to.

In the acknowledgments, the author stated

“I sought help of Hazrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad, The Fourth Successor of The Promised Messiah. He opened the Movement’s archives to me. He placed no restrictions on what I wrote.

To Khalifatul Masih IV therefore, my sincere thanks….”

Well that was good to know who supported the author with his research, but the book leaves the reader wondering what evidence he used and how reliable those evidences are! I was also left wondering on 2-3 occasion when the author quoted a “Muslim Scholar” praising Mirza in these words without any name, rank, location, citation or source “Says a Muslim Scholar…” [Pg 40, Adamson] and “Another Muslim Divine wrote…” [Pg 53, Ibid]. I don’t understand what kind of divinity the author is talking about and why his name is not mentioned because after this quote of this so called Divine, the author mentions the name of the Hindu leader of Arya Samaj, Pandit Lekh Ram, in 3 lined Paragraph (althought that too without any source!).

The most astonishing part of this reading, which was also annoying was that Mr Iain Adamson didn’t even bothered to cite the sources of his alleged sayings of Prophet Muhammad, known to the Muslims as Hadith which are preserved to this day and the study of it is called Hadith Sciences. Mr Adamson also didn’t bother to cite the source of the verses of the Holy Quran he used either in justifying the claims of Mirza’s prophethood or quoting Mirza’s own sayings!

On Page 176, Mr Iain Adamson wrote:

He (Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani) recalled the words of Ayesha, the wife of Prophet Muhammad when she said, “Say ‘He (Muhammad) is the Seal of the Prophets’, but do not say, ‘There will be no prophet after him.”

He (Mirza) continued, “If there is no longer any prophethood in Islam, then be sure that Islam has also died like other religions and does not possess any distinctive sign.” [Page 176, Adamson.]

Well first of all the simple logical argument I have is, if that saying was true, how come for 12-13 centuries Muslims didn’t know that another Prophet was coming! It is not to be found in any of the legit text unless fabricated or mistranslated!

The returning of Promised Messiah didn’t mean that he was coming as a new Prophet. A hadith in Sahih Al Bukhari is clear in the simplistic language, that when Jesus Christ would come he would follow the Sharia of Muhammad, meaning he would follow the last and the final Sharia without any abrogation and without any innovation by anyone after Islam has been established, which is also stated in the Holy Quran.

“…This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed my favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion. [Chapter 5 Al Maida verse 3. Taken from Quran Explorer]

The Hadith clearly says:

“Sahih Al Bukhari-Volume 4, Book 55, Number 658:
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said “How will you be when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Quran and not by the law of Gospel (Fateh-ul Bari page 304 and 305 Vol 7).”

Also this hadith along with many other Ahadith and Verses of the Holy Quran clearly says that the Son of Mary i.e. Jesus (peace be upon him) will descend. Mirza Ghulam neither descend nor he was the Son of Mary, instead he was the 2nd son of Mirza Ghulam Murtaza.

So without getting into the methodology of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Qadiani, this book by Iain Adamson is so far the most unacademic biogrphical book I have ever read.

After reading this unacademic biography of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani, the author has opened a door or reasearch and blog posts for me. Inshallah, by the will of Allah, I will write more on this subject, or republish contents on this subject.

May Allah guide all muslims to sirat al mustaqeen- the straight path. May Allah give us the knowledge and understanding of the Deen of Allah.

I would like to conclude with few of the sayings of Salf Saliheen, the pious predecessors, who were close to the Prophet Muhammad, the servant of Allah; close to his companions; and the companions of the companions of the Messenger of Allah.

It is authentically reported that Allaah’s Messenger said,

“Stick to my Sunnah and the Sunnah of the rightly guided Caliphs after me, cling to that with your molar teeth and beware of new matters, for every innovation is misguidance.” Reported by Ahmad, Abu Daawood (Eng. trans. 3/1294/no.4590), at-Tirmidhee (no. 2676), Ibn Maajah (no. 42), ad-Daarimee (no. 96) and Ibn Abee ‘Aasim in as-Sunnah (no. 54).

Imam Barbahaaree said:

“Know that Islam is the Sunnah, and the Sunnah is Islaam and one of them cannot be established without the other.”

‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab, rahimahullaah, said:

“There is no excuse for anyone going astray thinking that he is upon guidance. Nor for abandoning guidance thinking it to be misguidance, since the affairs have been made clear, the proof established and the excuse cut off.” That is because the Sunnah and the Jamaa’ah have consolidated and safeguarded all of the Religion. It has been made clear to the people, so it is upon the people to comply and follow.

Al-Marwazee reports in as-Sunnah (no. 95) that ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd Allah-’Azeez said:

“There is no excuse for anyone, after the Sunnah, to be misguided upon error which he thought was guidance.”

Statements taken from Kitaab Sharh us-Sunnah by Al-Barbahaaree. English Translation by Abu Talhah Dawud Burbank.

What Secret Report of the Panjab CID says about the origin,

Growth and Development of
The Ahmadya Movement
The Mirza Family and the Mutiny of 1857

Mirza Ghulam ahmed of Qadian. District Gurdaspur, the founder of the Ahmadiyya sect was born in 1839. He was descended from a Moghal family of Samarkand which emigrated to the Panjab in 1530 and settled in the Gurdaspur district. For several generation the family held offices of respectability under the imperial Government and it was only when the Sikhs became powerful that it fell into poverty.

Mirza Ghulam Ahmad’s Claims and Muslim Reaction:

During the reign of Ranjit Singh, however, Mirza Ghulam ahmed’s father, Ghulam Murtaza, was recieved back into favour and with his brothers performed efficient services in the Maharaja’s army on the Kashmir frontier and at other places. On the annexation of the Punjab by the British, jagirs of the family were resumed but pension of Rs. 700 was granted to Ghulam murtaza and his brothers and they retained their proprietary rights in Qadian and the neighboring village. The family did excellent services during the mutiny of 1847.(1)

Mirza Ghulam Ahmed first came to notice in 1876 when he claimed to recieve revelations direct from God. In 1883 he published revelation referring to himself as a messenger and Prophet. In 1891 he declared himself to be the Promised Mehdi or Messiah of the Muslim faith, a claim which led to the issue of fatwas in 1876-1891 condemning him as an infidel by leading “ulemas”. Being a skilled theologian and dialectician, however, he soon won over a large number of people of his tenets, though he was of course condemned by all orthodox Muhammadans as an impostor and heretic. The beliefs of the Ahmadis are briefly summarised in the Mirza’s decalogue which he called the ten conditions of ‘Baiat’ (initiation). In them sympathy with all persons, Muslim or non-Muslims is enjoined, and it is asserted that the conquest of the world to Islam is to be effected by peace and not by war. The Mirza’s speeches and writings and his proselytizing zeal naturally led to some ill- felling, yet, so far as is known, there is not a single incident on record in which his followers have been denied the use of mosques or Muhammadan burying grounds or have in any way been molested, except in one case at Cuttack where some convert to Ahmadiyyaism whished to change the form of worship in the principal mosque in the town -a course to which the rest of the Muhammadan population naturally objected.

Prophecies about Lekh Ram and Abdullah Athim (1891-97):

Mirza ghulam ahmed proved to be a greater danger communally than religiously owing to his prophecies foretelling the deaths of his opponenets. In 1886 and again in 1893 he issued notices prophesying the death of Pandit lekh ram by violence. This “prophecy” was fulfilled by the murder of (Pandit Lekh Ram on March the 6th, 1897). Ghulam ahmed’s prophecy naturally aroused suspicion against him of complicity in the murder. Government shared the suspicion and search warrant was issued for the search of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed’s house at Qadian. Nothing incriminating, however, was found. Pandit lekhram’s history is not without interest. He was at one time employed in the North- West Frontier Province Police (this province is now situated in Pakistan and known as KhyberPakhtunkhwa), but, owing to immorality and neglect of duty was reduced in rank and eventually resigned in 1884. He subsequently became a prominent Arya Samaj preacher). The immediate reactions of Lekh Ram’s murder on Hindu- Muhammadan relations were considerable. The first result was a reconciliation between the two sects into which, the Arya Samaj has split. The orthodox Hindus and Sikhs sympathized with the Arya Samaj, who however, somewhat alienated Sikh sympathy by comparing Lekh Ram to Guru Gobind Singh. The situation at the time was further complicated by the fact that five or six murders of Hindus by Muhammadans had recently occurred and appeared to have been more or less due to fanaticism.
Agitation, however, was chiefly confined to the educated classes in Lahore, Amritser, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur, Ferozpore and Peshawar and was especially noticeable among the student class. Ill-feeling was stirred up by the Arya community but no outbreak occurred as a result and the situation gradually returned to normal. A proposal to put Mirza Ghulam Ahmed on security under section 107, C.P.C was considered but did not materialize.

Mirza Ghulam ahmed’s prophecies about this time began to attract wider attention. He prophesied the death of a Christian opponent Abdullah Athim, who died within the period foretold by the Mirza. In 1897 Dr. Clark, a C.M.S. (1) missionary, brought a case against him under section 107 C.p.C., alleging that he had deputed a man to murder him. Mirza ghulam ahmed was discharged but at the same time he was warned by the trying magistrate to desist from publishing inflammatory and provocative pamphlets, and was told that unless he adopted a moderate tone he could not fail but bring himself within the reach of the law.

Death of Mirza 1897- May 1908:

Down to his death in May, 1908, Mirza Ghulam Ahmed continued to propagate his faith with remarkably little opposition from orthodox Muhammadans. There was of course occassions when his teachings were actively resented, as for example, at Amritser in November, 1905, when the Police had to escort him from a public meeting to save him from an assault. Othodox opinion was aroused against him on that occassion by his eating and drinking on the platform from which he was speaking during ‘Ramzan’. When not carried away by his proselytizing zeal and extravagances in debate, then he often made use of language which did not really reflect his true opinions or even his teachings. The Mirza’s general outlooks on other religions appears to have been tolerant, if at times somewhat inconsistent. Thus, while he prophesied the speedy death of his enemies he declared that Muhammadans must allow the members of all other religions to live in peace, and likewise while condemning the whole Christian religion as false and anti-Christ, he nevertheless believed in Christ as a mighty prophet of God, not himself divine, but a divine messenger, who died (according to the old tale beloved by Hindus and Christians) in Kashmir. Speaking at a public meeting in Lahore in September 1904, he remarked that he did not consider all non-Muslim faiths false, and added that it had been revealed to him that Ram Chandra and Krishna were true men of God and that he had no patience with those who spoke ill of them, he considered Baba Nanak as a true worshipper of God.

Loyality to the British Government:

His attitude towards Government was throughout one of loyality. In 1895 he published a pamphlet explaining his attitude toward the British Government in which he denounced ‘Jihad’ and enjoined loyality and goodwill towards Government.

After the death of Mirza Ghulam ahmed, his successor was Hakim Nuruddin, who has also an interesting story but we will not talk into that, though nurudin worte several books of which ‘ Faz ul Kitab” is the most noteworthy. It is a commentary on Christianity and was written under special instructions from Mirza Ghulam ahmed. Nur-ud-din commanded great respect among the Ahmadia sect and was considered to be the chief pillar of their faith. It was the reason that on the death of Mirza Ghulam ahmed the leading men of the Ahmadiyya sect elected him as their Khalifa which position he held till his death on the 13th march 1914. During his khilafat nur-ud-din spent most of his time in Qadian and confined his sole attention to the propagation of the Ahmadiyya tenets and doctrines, a duty which he performed with great zeal and fervour.

After his death the ahmadiyyas were splitted up into two parties, one party favoured the succession of Muhammad Ali, M. A , editor of the “Review of Religions”, and the other party, which commanded a majority, selected Mirza bashir-ud-din Mahmud, the son of the founder of the sect.

Muhammad ALi’s colleagues formed a separate society in Lahore where they founded the Ahmadiyya Anjuman-i-Ishaat-i-Islam and college of the same name.

First World War (1914-18)
From 1914 to 1918 the Ahmadis were politically quiescent. Their activities, such as they were, were mainly confined to public lectures which were not particularly well attended. Their record during the Great War was one of continuous loyalty. They subscribed to Government war loans, and towards the end of the war offered a double company of Ahmadis which, however, was never formed owing to the termination of the war. A territorial unit was subsequently raised.

Mirza Mahmood’s Visit to Europe 1924:
In 1924 Mirza Bashir -ud- din mahmud ahmed visited Europe with a party of 12 secretaries. The Party visited Rome, Paris, London and Venice. Reports were subsequently received that the Mirza had been in touch with communists and German nationalists, but there is no reason to regard them as true. It is of interest to note that the Ahmadis are much interested in Russia as they believe in a prophecy which promises them predominance in Moscow one day.

Ahmadis Killed in Kabul 1924-25:

The proselytizing zeal of the Ahmadis aborad has never met with any serious opposition except in Afghanistan. In September, 1918, it was reported that the Ahmadiyya movement was slowly but steadily spreading through Kabul and parts of Afghanistan. Information about the same time showed that the Ahmadis as a whole were distinctly anti-Afghan and that they were preaching that Afghanistan was the ‘dar-ul-harb’ whereas india was ‘dar-us-salam’. (Note: the same type of preaching has been carried out by zionist’s cia’s creation taliban who declare the Islam state of Pakistan as ‘darul harb’). This attitude was no doubt due to the stoning of two Ahmadi Maulvis a few years previously and to the general attitude of repression adopted towards the Ahmadis by the then Amir of Afghanistan. At the end of August, 1924, an Ahmadi missionary named Niamat Ullah Khan was stoned to death at Kabul for heresy. His execution was denounced not only by the Ahmadis in India but also by most of the orthodox Muslim press.
In February, 1925, two Qadyani shopkeepers in Kabul was also stoned to death for heresy. They had been convicted by the ‘Mullahs’ of heresy, and their sentences received the approval of the Afghan official authorities as a Police Superintendent and 15 constables were present at the execution. Ahmadi meeting of protest were held throughout India, and protests were also raised by the Ahmadis in England. The sensation caused restrained the Ameer as no further executions took place. After these executions there were rumours that the Ahmadis contemplated sending ‘Jathas’ to Kabul to propagate the Ahmadi faith, but the proposal never materialised. The relations of the Ahmadis with the present King of Afghanistan appear to be cordial, for on the occasion of his recent visit to England the Ahmadiya community in England presented him with an address of welcome. (2) (Note: who knows now a days taliban leaders not all of them but in higher stationed ‘Commodors” are infact those Ahmadis hiding behind the curtain of Islam and killing innocent Muslims and leaving the true enemies i-e occupied forces).

Ahmadya Activities in India and Abroad 1928:

A part from their communal activities the Lahore and Qadian Ahmadis are a well-organized and financially sound community with missions abroad and in India. Founded in 1914 as the “Anjuman-e-ishat-e-islam’ the Lahore section is mainly financed by regular subscription and by the sale-proceeds of religious books and has an annual income of about three lakhs of rupees. These funds are satisfactorily controlled, and there are capable secretaries in charge of the various funds, such as the ‘ tabligh fund’, the mission fund, the litrature fund, the ‘zakat’ fund, the buildings and books funds. Of their missions abroad the Working mission is the best known and has made about 1.000 converts in England. The heads of the working mission are Khawaja Kemal-ud-din and M. Abdul Majid. There is also German mission which was established in 1922 by Mubarak Ali and Sadar-ud-din. The construction of a mosque was delayed owing to a rumour that the Ahmadis were pro-British propagandists, but this rumour was subsequently dispelled and large mosque has been recently erected in Berlin. There is a special missionary school at Qadian at which students who have passed the Maulvi Fazal examination are trained in missionary and propaganda work. The Qadian party has several papers of which the Al-Fazal, the Sunrise, the Nur, the Faruq, the Misbah and the Ahmadiya Gazzette are the best known. The number of their followers was given in the Panjab census report of 1921 as 28,856, but this appears an under-estimate and they probably number about 75,000.(3)

Kashmir Committee 1931:
On 26 July 1931, an All india Kashmir Committe was established with Mirza Mehmud as its head. The Ahrar launched a massive movement for the Kashmiri Muslims and ultimately Mirza mahmud resigned.

According to another authentic source Ahrars Launch anti-Ahmadya Campaign in 1932-33, On the 4th March 1933, the Working COmmittee of the Majlis-e-Ahrar met at Lahore and adopted a number of resolutions. It was decided to push forward the campaign against the Ahmadis by the formation of a new body according to the reports of Panjab CiD secret Report on Majlis-i-Ahrar, 1938 (NDC islamabad).

Qadyani Militancy 1934:

IN the meantime, the general attitude of the Ahmadis at Qadian was becoming distinctly militant and aggressive. Reports received in 1934 indicated that there was a marked tendency towards the exercise of autonomy and the establishment of the imperium in imperio by the Ahmadiyya community at Qadian. Some of its local manifestations were the existence of

(a) a body of volunteers who were allowed to use arms for musketry practice.

(b) Ahmadiya courts known as ” Idara-i-Faujdari”. A document purporting to be a “summons” to a ” defendant” in a Qadian analogous to those used in law courts in the document were reported that people were sentenced to boycott if they offended the Ahmadiyyas, that non-Ahmadis were brought into these proceedings under pressure, that Mirza Bashir-ud-din Mahmud had “established a parallel government” in Qadian by introducing the “Mahmudia Penal Code”, which was openly contrary to British Laws, and that it was an ordinary thing for Ahmadi “Courts” to cause a Qadiani to be flogged or turned out of the city; and

(c) the Siyasi Anjuman-e-Ahmadiya, apparently a body interested in political welfare of the Ahmadis.

In 1936, at a meeting of the National League, Shaikh Bashir Ahmed announced that it was essential for the Ahmadis to take an active part in the political life of the country. With this object in view, he said, the Ahmadya Jamat would be prepared to co-operate with Jawahar lal nehru if a suitable programme could be prepared. Under instructions issued by the National League, some Ahmadi volunteers participated in the reception accorded to Pandit Jawahar Lal on his visit to Lahore in May-June, 1936. Then there were issue arosed in 1937, the issue of burial of an Ahmadi into Muslim graveyard, then in the same year the Ahmadi conflict with sikhs was goes on in the same year, serious dissentions broke out in the Ahmadi community in June 1937. Two disaffected Ahmadis, Fakhr-ud-din Multani and Abdul Rehman Misri, published posters containing serious allegations against the personal character of the head of the Ahmadiyya community and Abdur Rehman Misri, who was the Headmaster of the Ahmadi School of religious teachings, started a rival organization called the “Majlis-i-Ahmadiyya Qadian”, with himself as President and Fakhr-ud-din Multani as Secretary. The Lahore Ahmadi party, the Arya samajists, and the Ahrars all took sides with the secessionists. The two rebels were excommunicated and threats of violence were held out against them by Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmud in his speeches. The threats led an Ahmadi fanatic to stab Fakhr-ud-din multani and another Ahmadi secessionist on the 7th August. in 1938 Haji abdul ghani of majlis-e-ahrar was died in un clear circumstances, in Batala. suspicious circumstances of a wound on the head, and it was falsely alleged that he had been murdered by the Ahmadis for his anti-Ahmadi activities. Actually, the Haji had sustained fatal injuries after attending a dinner. The case remained untraced.

Qanta Ahmed is a Muslim physician, author, and British citizen. In a recent exclusive interview with United With Israel, she called Israel’s achievements in women’s and minority rights an inspiration to the Muslim world. Qanta Ahmed is a physician, a Muslim of Pakistani origin, a British citizen and the author of “In the Land of Invisible Women: A Female Doctor’s Journey in Saudi Arabia.” Ahmed told United With Israel that she has traveled virtually everywhere in the Middle East, and has found no other country in the region with the same “level of freedom and integration.”

Based on her experience, she acknowledges Israel as a special and unique country, a fact she believes no one should take for granted. Ahmed recounts, “There was a very powerful sense of national identity in Israel, and in a certain way an acceptance of people wanting to be different. I found Israel extraordinarily liberating, for Muslim men and women. I met with Israeli Muslims…I visited the Beit Issi Shapiro Center in Kalansua, where Israeli Arab women were taking care of children with special needs. These women participated in the society, whether veiled or not. They had a role outside the household.” Ahmed remarked that during her visit to the Technion, she was amazed by the various programs offered and the strong minority presence on the campus.

She noted, “20 percent of the undergraduates at the Technion are Arab Muslims and seeing how they were thriving is very different from even the privileged women in Saudi Arabia. There is a different climate. I don’t feel in Israel that women are under siege or unequal or victims, but that is a strong feeling in the Muslim world. They aren’t fully empowered and they aren’t equal. I found Israel very refreshing. I did not find it in any way oppressive.” Ahmed was also impressed that Israel provides a safe haven to the Ahmadi Muslim community, which is “persecuted across the Muslim world.” In contrast, the Ahmadi Muslim community in Haifa has “been thriving for the last 100 years.” They have their “own mosques, cemeteries funded by the Israeli government, and a school,” while in Pakistan “Ahmadi cemeteries are frequently desecrated, Ahmadis are barred from giving the Muslim call to prayer, and it is forbidden to call their holy places mosques.” Ahmed relates, “When I was visiting the minorities in Haifa, there were young men who recently converted [to Ahmadi Islam]…[and] some of them were Palestinians from the West Bank. They were excommunicated by their families in the West Bank for adopting their views and sought shelter in Haifa.” She acknowledged, “Israel is a guarantor of religious freedom. Religious freedom is an absolute human right under Israeli law, but not in the Palestinian Authority.” Ahmed concluded, “The Muslim world needs Israel as an inspiration more than Israel needs the Muslim world’s acceptance. It is very bleak times, but Israel is extraordinarily hopeful…a hope I really experienced through the Israeli Muslims I met.” Visit United with Israel. This year the conference has the joint title of “Khatm-un-Nabuwwa” and “Defending the Honour of the Beloved” to repudiate and counter some of the recent attacks made on the noble personage of the Beloved Prophet of Allah. The Qadiani movement founded by the impostor Mirza Ghulam Qadiani are also trying to exploit new ways to attack the finality of the noble Messenger’s prophet-hood and the Central Association of Sunni Muslims UK & Europe, is doing its utmost to raise awareness and combat malicious propaganda and activities of the Qadiani cult.

Khatm-e-Nubuwwat means that Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is the Last of the Prophets. The process and routine of appointing Prophets and Messengers by Almighty Allah has been terminated, finished, ended, stopped, and sealed. None will be appointed as prophet after Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H). His prophet hood will continue until the dooms day and even afterwards, the only people that can claim to be Muslims are those who have belief in Khatm-e-Nubuwwat and confess that:
“None is worth of worship except Allah; Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is apostle of Allah”

Almighty Allah clearly says in Holy Quran:
“Muhammad (P.B.U.H) is not fathering any of your Men. However, he is the Messenger of Almighty Allah and the Last / Seal of the Prophets. In addition, Almighty Allah has complete knowledge of the things.”

Thus, finalization of the prophet hood has been clearly declared by Almighty Allah himself. There are about one hundred (100) verses of Holy Quran and more than two hundred (200) Sayings of the Holy Prophet on Khatam-e-Nubuwwat, which clearly and preciously convey that the practice of appointing Prophets has been finished after Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Let us study some of the Sayings of holy Prophet on this.

The following phrases are the sayings of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him): “I am the Last of the Prophets. No Prophet is there after me.”

Saad Bin Abi Waqaas narrates that the Holy Prophet P.B.U.H said to Ali:
“Ali! You have the same status and relation with me as Haroon (AS) had with Mosses (AS) with the exception that there is no prophet after me.”

Hazrat Abu Amarah narrates, the Holy prophet P.B.U.H Said:
“I am the Last of the Prophets and you are last of the Ummah.”
“I am the seal of the prophets and you are seal of Ummah.”

Ummul-Mumineen Hazrat Ayesha (Razi-Allah-ho-Anha)Narrates, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said:
“I am the Last of Prophets and My Mosque is the Last of the mosques of the Holy Prophets.”

Hazrat Uqba bin Aamir (Razi-Allah-ho-Anha) narrates, the Holy Prophet P.B.U.H said:
“Had there been any Prophet after me, Omer (Razi-Allah-ho-Anha) S/o Khattab would have been that”.

Hazrat Abu Hurerah (Razi-Allah-ho-Anhu) narrates, the holly prophet (P.B.U.H) said:
“My example and example of other prophet s is like the one who constructed the great, grant and beautiful place but left place of a brick in one of the corners. People cam to see and went around it. They praised its beauty and grand ness very much. Besides they said this is one brick has not been fixed.” The holly prophet P.B.U.H said, “I am that brick and I am the last of the prophets. (I am the seal of the Prophet Hood)”.

Hazrat Sobaan(Razi-Allah-ho-Anhu) narrated, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said:
“There will be thirty faiths less liars of the highest order. Every one of them wills claims to be a Prophet. Where as in fact,I am last of the Prophets. No Prophet is to come (Here) after me”.

Hazrat Abuzar (Razi-Allah-ho-Anhu) narrates, the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said to me:
“O; Abuzar! The primarily of the Prophets is Hazrat Adam (Alaihe-Salaam) and the last of all the Prophets is Hazrat Muhammad P.B.U.H.”

Almighty Allah Says in Qur’an about his last prophet:
“Nor does he Say (ought) of (his own) desire. It is no less then inspiration sent down to him”.

Conclusion After such clear and explicit declaration by almighty Allah Himself and his last his most distinguished prophet about the end termination of the practice of appointing Prophets, if some one does not believe in that, he is definitely an atheist and must be treated accordingly. The whole Muslim Ummah coherence on the belief of Khatam-e-Nubuwwat. All the expounders and exegetics have concord on the meanings of Khatam-e-Nubuwwat. I.e. there is neither any type of Prophet nor any sort of messenger after Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H). It is also concordat that there is no other interpretation or appropriation in the meanings of the word Khatam-e-Nubuwwat. The abnegator (denier) of Khatam-e-Nubuwwat is abnegator of Allah his last messenger and coherence of Muslim Ummah. Denier of Khatam-e-Nubuwwat element of Nubuwwat is infidel, traitor, and biggest liar. His punishment is the Same as that Muselema Kazzab. May Allah grace all the Muslims to bound and cling them selves to the person of Hazrat Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and remain adherent to the teachings of Islam in letter and sprit Aamin.
