Religious parties are all set to celebrate the historic legislation of September 7, 1974 under the government of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, under which Qadiyanis were termed non-Muslims because of disowning the belief of the finality of Prophet (SAW).Announcing a number of seminars and meetings planned for Youme Khatme Nabuwwat on Saturday (today), many religious leaders held on Friday held that Qadiyanis were equally involved in the anti-state conspiracies, like sectarianism, subversion and terrorism, and demanded that Qadiyanis, both declared undercover, must be removed from key government posts in security and intelligence agencies, judiciary and the media to defend the country. Addressing a joint meeting, the leaders of International Khatm-e-Nabuwwt Movement, Aalmi Majlis Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nabuwwat and Majlis Ahrar highlighted the rebellion of Qadiyanis against Islam and said rebels were liable for death punishment in every religion and part of the world. The leaders, including Abdul Latif Khalid Cheema, Mian Awais and Maulana Zahidur Rashedi, said that Youm-e-Khatm-e-Nabuwwat was being celebrated in foreign countries – in Europe, America and Middle East – to highlight the anti-Islam conspiracies of Qadiyanis and reaffirm the pledge to protect Islam. Leaders of Jamiat Ahle Hadith Khalid Shahzad Farooqi, Allama Sibtain Shah, Prof Sanaullah Bhatti, Sh Salimur Rehman, Muhammad Ali Yadzani and others demanded that Qadiyanis must be removed from all key posts, especially from the armed forces and security agencies to ward off the conspiracies against security and solidarity of Pakistan. Addressing the Khatam-e-Nabuwwat conference on Friday, they condemned the government for issuing a list of five thousand religious seminaries as “dangerous” and “requiring strict surveillance”, and said such a move was part of Qadiyani conspiracy to create religious unrest and cause a sectarian strife in the country. They warned that no action against any seminary would be allowed without any proofs of involvement in anti-state or subversive activities.

Anti-Ahmadi groups are planning to hold up to conferences in the first week of September to mark the passage of the Second Amendment to the Constitution on September 7, 1974, when Ahmadis were declared to be non-Muslims in Pakistan.
The day is celebrated every year by anti-Ahmadi groups, but the number of events planned in Lahore this year far surpasses previous years, said members of the Ahmadi community.

Ziaul Haq Naqshbandi, spokesperson for Tahaffuz-i-Namoos-i-Risalat Mahaz, said that he was heartened by how many groups were planning to mark the day.

“Seeing the number of Khatm-i-Nabuwat conferences this year … it seems that the lovers of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) have joined hands against those trying to negate the concept of the finality of the Prophet. Soon, there will be a time when there is no room for apostates.”

Posters and banners for the various anti-Ahmadi conferences are being put up across the city, particularly on the backs of rickshaws. The second annual Marzaki Tahaffuz Khatm-i-Nabuwat conference is to be held at Markazi Jamia Masjid Kanzul Iman, Johar Town, from 9.30pm on September 7. Organised by the Muhafizan Khatm-i-Nabuwat, the conference will feature Muhammad Azam Ali Naeemi as chief guest and Mufti Munibur Rehman, Allama Ghulam Rasool Qasmi and Dr Amir Liaqat Hussain as speakers.

The second annual Tajdar Khatm-i-Nabuwat Conference is scheduled for September 7 at Aiwan-i-Iqbal after Maghrib prayers. It is being organised by the Fidayeen Khatm-i-Nabuwat Pakistan. Hafiz Khadim Hussain Rizvi will preside over the conference. Literature on the topic will be available at a 50 per cent discount.

The Historic Azeemush Shan Khatm-i-Nabuwat Conference will take place at Jamia Ashrafia, Muslim Town, after Maghrib prayers on September 5. Among the prominent participants will be Maulana Abdul Majeed, Fazalur Raheem and Mufti Muhammad Hasan.

A Khatm-i-Nabuwat Conference will take place at Jamia Masjid Jamiatul Quresh, Janaz Gah, after Isha prayers on September 7. The participants will include Allama Raza-i-Mustafa and Dr Raghib Hussain Naeemi.
Hafiz Abdul Ghaffar Al Madni will give a special sermon after Friday prayers on ‘Why Ahmadis are outside the pail of Islam’ at Markaz Ahle Hadith, Allama Ahsan Hospital, Ghoray Shah Road. The sermon is being organised by Jamiat Ahl-i-Hadith.

A Tahaffuz Khatm-i-Nabuwat Conference will take place at 1pm on September 7 at Aroosa Banquet Hall, Shahdara Chowk. It is being organised by Tehrik-i-Tahaffuz Khatam-i-Nabuwat Pakistan and will be presided over by Sahibzada Hafiz Naseer Ahmed Qadri. Allama Hafiz Khan Muhammad Qadri will be among the speakers.

Police told that Qazi Iftikhar Ahmad Raza, along with three other clerics as witnesses, filed a case against Salma, alleging that she had circulated blasphemous papers.

The complainant stated that the woman invited him to her house and made blasphemous statements regarding Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that  the woman distributed photocopies of her own blasphemous writings. He got hold of them and submitted them as proof. The accused lady, who runs a secondary school, denied the charges.

SP Investigations Model town has personally taken the investigation while the woman was sent to jail on a judicial remand. Her family has been moved to an unknown safe place.

Senior police officials reached the spot along with a good-sized contingent and managed to provide security to the woman and her family.
